Brandmasters represents manufacturers in markets in which the principal wants sales but does not wish to conduct the business directly. This may be for reasons of management time, company policy, security of payment or recognition that it does not have the right contacts or appropriate administrative and legal competencies to do business in what are often highly bureaucratic and awkward markets in which to conclude profitable business.
Brandmasters remuneration may be on a fee basis, or the transaction can be merchanted, with Brandmasters Ltd taking full payment risk and being compensated by the difference between its buying price from the manufacturer and its selling price in the market. There are two sides to our business: (a) Marketing FMCG grocery brands: our principals include Kelloggs, HJ Heinz, Mars/Masterfoods and Procter and Gamble. We source goods from the UK, USA, mainland Europe, South Africa, Australia and the Far East. (b) Arranging large-scale public works contracts and winning government tenders, once again in territories that are difficult to conduct business in. Contracts handled include: NIGERIA: Newspaper printing machinery, raw materials for steel manufacture, heavyweight fork lift machines for cargo loading and unloading, radio transmitter antennae. IRAQ: Medical equipment, household insecticides, baby feeding bottles, basic commodity trading. ETHIOPIA: office stationery.
